ESSTMAGS products include Magnetic Angle Encoders, Magnetic Linear Displacement Encoders, Magnetic Sensor ICs, and more. Backed by mature wafer fabrication and deep magnetic encoder expertise, they deliver outstanding performance in key metrics such as accuracy, control frequency, and package size, meeting the demands of high-precision and other challenging applications.
ESSTMAGS products are widely used in humanoid robots, quadruped robots, industrial/collaborative robots, dexterous hands, servo motors, high-precision turntables, consumer electronics, and special equipment; through the global channels of Sinomags and Sensitec, they reach medical, new energy, automotive electronics, and other downstream fields. ESSTMAGS pursues scenario-driven R&D and accelerates technology iteration, providing complete encoder solutions and products for the robotics industry.
Founded in 2013, as an IDM enterprise in the magnetic sensing field, the company relies on xMR core technology and mass-production capability and is committed to the R&D and manufacturing of magnetic sensor products. It has built a global strategic layout: its German subsidiary Sensitec GmbH hosts a sensor wafer design and manufacturing center and an encoder design and manufacturing center, and it has established a sensor wafer design R&D center in Portugal. As the parent company of Sinomags, Anhui Sinomags Technology Co., Ltd. has three major subsidiaries — Wuxi Le'er Technology Co., Ltd., Ningbo Sinomags Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., and Germany's Sensitec GmbH. In addition, in 2023 it invested in establishing Wuxi ESSTMAGS Co., Ltd., dedicated to magnetic encoder R&D.
Core products: AMR, GMR, and TMR (anisotropic/giant/tunneling magnetoresistance) wafers, magnetic angle encoders, magnetic displacement sensors, current sensor ICs & modules, and magnetic detection systems.
Sensitec GmbH, founded in 1999 and based in Wetzlar, Germany, focuses on developing and manufacturing xMR magnetoresistive sensors for industrial and automotive mass-production. Through market growth and continuous product iteration, it has established itself in the industry as an innovative solution provider deep in the magnetic sensor field.
As a German enterprise focused on magnetoresistive sensing, the company develops and manufactures magnetic microsystems, with two operations in Wetzlar and Mainz. It provides displacement, angle, position, current, and magnetic field sensor solutions that are simple, robust, precise, and fast-responding. Its sensing products help equipment improve safety, user experience, comfort, and energy efficiency, empowering industrial innovation and productivity.
